I cannot believe its shocking similarities with the Lexus.

If only it is available in RWD, it'd give the IS350 a run for its bling...

For thousands less. I really like this re-design. Another piece of good news, for once with a redesign, this car will be lighter than the outgoing 6.

Yep, lighter and uses less fuel.  Bad news is the 3.5L V6 is Ford's engine Sad

Let us be the first to say that compared to its aforementioned rivals, the new Mazda6 is miles ahead of the competition in terms of style and would even give some of the premium makes a run for their money.

I think that engine made Ward's 10 best list this year. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I thought the 2008 Mazda6 will use the 2008 CX-9's 3.7L V6 as production for the Ford 3.5L V6s are maxed out for Ford vehicles.

What's wrong with the Duratec 3.5L? It's on the same playing field as the Toyota's 3.5L and Nissan's extremely famous, yet economical, 3.5L.

Though, I wouldn't mind the 3.7L V6 to be used for the car. The larger the displacement the merrier.

I personally don't see anything wrong with Duratecs. Ever since the Mondeo's 2.5L V6 came about the Duratecs have been a pretty solid engine family.

dL, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duratec

The Mazda MZR L4 2.3L is also known as the Ford DHE-423.

Don't really like the interior. Looks like a busier and more cluttered version of ours.

Word is that ford doesn't want to share the 3.5 for the 6 or 9.  So Mazda upped them by building their own 3.7 in Japan with more power and still runs of regular gas!  Yes!
