So I went there this morning at around 11:30 to study, ended up staying[studying] till 9pm with friends who got there at like 1pm....
never actually noticed the 3hr parking limit sign before, but i got a ticket for going over .....$39.59 if i pay within 7 days
none of my other friends got ticket for parking 8 hours
anyone know if theres anything i can do about it? I was actually inside for the whole time....

get some receipts form other places within the time frame and say u were in and out
or change license plate, they are just Imperial parkings, which are total jerks

From what I last heard...........if you have any outstanding tickets and if you ever park in any Impark's lots, they will tow your car away.

From what I last heard...........if you have any outstanding tickets and if you ever park in any Impark's lots, they will tow your car away.
That's what I've always believed would happen. Especially with technology nowadays, they probably download the latest database into their handheld wireless device and can probably type in the license plates etc.....that's why if you have outstanding tickets...don't park in their lots....hehhehe |

the rest of the world pays for parking and parks in the correct locations...pay the ticket and you won't have to worry about which lots you can park in. $40 is cheap for a lesson learned...it could have been worse!

most the receipts were food receipts and given back when we picked up our order  and i woudln't try not paying tickets anymore though tried it a couple years ago at UBC where people said they don't even track you down, especially if your car isn't registered for parking at ubc. well my car isn't registered at ubc, and my plates were changed last summer(not because of the tickets), they still tracked my old plate and sent me a letter mentioning stuff like not allowing graduation if they remain unpaid |

^ if you never register your car throughout your academic year, they have no way to associate the car to you.
I have had numerous parking ticket in UBC...and one time i even throw the ticket while I drive off in front of the ticketing guy.
