Its part of some design exercise. Other manufacturers also have their design concepts.
For the Mazda one, the concept is that you were the 'vehicle'. Your feet are where the front wheels are and your hands are where the back wheels are. Sort of VR-052 MOSPEADA Ride Armor as imagined by Michael Bay.
