I've remained quiet on this issue since reading the post about extra information that we're not privy too.
I hope it's more than just IP address, as that alone of course is not enough to go by.

In my subnet for Telus, they use a netmask of 240.0.  That leaves 4094 IP addresses available in my subnet.  Each regular household is allowed up to 2.  On average I have no clue how many people use.  All I am saying, is if "Rob Heal" is really who he says he is to be, there's a chance his IP could be similar to GTI-scott-woop-tradein's IP.  This user claims to be in Victoria (oh ya.. I hope you're already on the ferry.. it takes a while to go from Victoria to Langley.. meet's at 12.. getting there around 12:30 to 12:45 is probably good).  Did GTI-scott-woop-tradein ever say where he is from?
Of course we may not be able to believe anything they have said, since GIT-snot-woopmyass-traitor was a  troll.
I don't know how many subnets shaw or telus has, or whichever provider it is, so I dunno what the percentage chance of them being in the same subnet are.

Some things don't make sense.
If this is indeed the same troll, then he is/was trying really hard to make amends.
Does his posting pattern seem the same to you guys?  I dunno, he's defending himself more than trying to bash our cars and our club (I'm not saying he hasn't done the latter, as he has).  He has made some remarks that do not make sense, but maybe he's just pissed off at being accused.  He may be one of those types that detest being accused.  I dunno how I would react if one day after my very first post, someone insinuated that I was some troll, after having not posted anything inflammatory.
So in one hand, he seems to be trying to defend himself a lot, but on the other, he has singled out Derrick and Jason as being "the bad guys".  It doesn't seem like he has jumped at Kev as much (which is odd heh).  And despite some of the nice comments from Dan (ya.. i was surprised myself too...) and myself, he ignores that and calls out the rest of the club as being jerks.

In the end, it doesn't even matter (man.. i love that song hahah)...

If this is all one big mixup, and Rob doesn't participate in our group anymore, that's his choice.  I can't say that he would be making a bad choice given what has happened, but I think his reaction plus the mob'ish mentatility that went, made the situation worse.  His reaction wasn't very grown up, but then hey.. neither are some of our members here.. but that's OK.  We're here to have fun, so we don't take things too seriously sometimes.
If he does decide to stay, I'm sure the bad blood will dissolve and everything will be normal (otherwise why else would he stay)
If he is a troll (same or not), then I was wrong to give him the benefit of the doubt and he has overstayed his welcome, and he'll be gone.

All I have to say is whatever.. and is this getting locked?

HeatTransfer, kev, I think you two should take this to pm.  Anyone who was their that night should be making their own judgment on the matter.  Anyone who wasn't there, should not be making ANY judgment.  There's no need for you two to publicly defend yourselves.  It's a private matter between the two of you from this point.  You've both said your two bits and have had an equal opportunity to express yourselves on this matter.  If there  is any friction between the two of you right now, I'm sure it will come to a conclusion much faster in pm where you don't feel you have to defend as much.

That was out of line, but (not jumping to his defense tho' it might seem like it), I can sort of see where the "intimidation" factor is.  You're part of a group, he's singled out, so he feels intimidated, like he was invited to a fight or something.  That's all I think.

Bobby heal claims that he lives in victoria.  both are pretty far in comparison for a similar ip address?
I was under the impression that IP addresses were assigned for a certain location?  meaning like this chunk of vancouver would have similar ip addresses and what not?  I could be wrong since i'm not a technical guru working for shaw lol.

It usually doesn't work that way. My ip resolves to a telus location in Langley, when I'm no where near there.

In my experience, there is no benefit in public airing of dirty laundry. 

I moderate another web forum.  It is not as busy as this one and the demographic is different.  However, I can't think of any case where the moderators/site ops come out ahead in a public pissing match.  This is just my experience.

Bobby Heal, Wolfe has no recollection of selling a Cosmic Blue MS3 in many many months. They mentioned it is a slow seller and they do not order allocations in that colour. Furthermore, they don't recall a Bob or Rob from Victoria coming to purchase a car. But I'm guessing we should give you the benefit of the doubt? You have been given several opportunities to prove that you are not related to the disruptive character in question. If I was in your position, I would do anything possible to get a well-earned apology.

As it stands, nothing is to be gained from this thread. If you don't like how you are being treated, run along.
