Side and Curtain airbags are standard on the GT. The GS does not have them and they are not optional. If anyone wants more info send me a PM, I have all the info on the 5.

I believe in doing your homework before dropping your hard-earned cash on a car... and even though I've got loads of confidence that Mazda did the 5 right (like the 3, and the Protege before it) I still want to make sure this is the right car before I buy it. ... and I'm real impressed with it so far.

but i think that they introduced the 5 at a pretty good timing... for minivan-converters Ouch. The 5 is a bit bigger than the hatch, it could have easily been branded as a 3. I drove it, and believe me, it drives a lot like the 3 as well.

Does anyone got discount for Mazda5? I ordered mine about 2 weeks ago for the MSRP. Hopfully, I will get it before August longweekend.
Perfecto, have you got yours yet? Looks like yours is also Platinum Silver.Nice choice.
This will be my 3rd new Mazda within last 3 years, hopefully the 5 will be up to the same quality standard as my '02 Miata but not the '02 MPV.

Hey Terence - there's little discounting available on the 5's due to the fact that the availability is really limited. I was first on the list at Freeway Mazda, and bought a Platinum Silver 5-speed (!) about 2 weeks ago. I love the colour, it's really the best available for the 5... I really wish I could have got the red or winning blue from the Mazda 3. Congratulations on your purchase
