Whoa...Kev you picked up a 40D?

What happened to the XT?

Yes, decided to upgrade. Sold the XT to a friend of mine.

Private purchase.

Full frame is very nice, but I don't think I could take advantage of it's capabilities, nor afford the cost of lenses. Maybe if I was doing this for a living I could justify it.

Good. I only had a chance to snap some photos of the Accord in the driveway before going to Wings. Didn't load them on computer yet.

We're looking at cameras right now.  Kinda undecided right now.  We're thinking of the D80 since we can use our old lenses from the F75.  The sales guy recommended the Olympus E-510 Evolt 2 Lens Kit, because it comes with the image stabilization.

The Nikon AF-S 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED VR Lens with vibration reduction is about $500 + the D80 kit is 1100.
Vs.
Olypus E-510 with two lenses 14-42mm & 40-150mm = 800.

I'm leaning towards the Olympus since it's about half the price.   Help me decide.

if you have some old nikon lens that you can use, it will make more sense to buy the D80

or find a used D200 which can be had for less than the price of the D80.  It also meters and recognizes the old manual focus lens.  You can do that on the D80 as well but won't meter.  Doesn't mean it's not as good.  I just found the features on the D200 to suit me better.  I've shot with both but ended up with the D200.  I'd save some money going used.  Use the money to get some nice f2.8 lenses...you'll be thankful that you did!
