Unfortunately, most of these fine cameras are in the hands of the ignorant. most of them think they're professionals just because they use a dslr, but in fact they don't even know how to use the aperture or even the macro function.

Heh just put into programmed auto mode, and disable the flash pop up Should yield pretty decent results Until you realize that the Canon SD1000 point and shoot that you carry around all the time opens up to 2.8 which helps quite a bit in the low light... haha |

^^ Last year I bought a A570 IS instead of the SD1000. Same image sensor. Bigger body (AA batteries) but has IS and manual controls.
