Alright, I just picked up snowboarding this year and was looking for others who are either just learning how to snowboard or those that know their stuff (I might be slow I warn you).

Now I haven't had much opportunity to go up but I do like Cypress the best (most variety) and then I like Mt Seymour.

Now both have a Monday night that is kind of two for one.  Seymour puts on a ladies night there so ladies ride free as long as they have a voucher from Pacific Boarder or other affiliates and Cypress is just two for one I believe.

Sorry if there already is a snowboarding thread and sorry if it's in the wrong section (thought Meets was appropriate as it would be people meeting up.)

Don't snowboard? Now's the time to learn, trust me I spend more time on my ass then going down the mountain.  Skier? Come anyways, just don't scrape my board on the chair Wink

Any interest?

^^ Comor was having an insane sale, if you're in need they are pretty affordable or just try some things out and then get it online

Yeah I was thinking cypress as well and if we get a decent group of people Cypress will give us discounted lift tickets.

Sch3 - like I said, I spend more time on my butt than I do gliding down the slopes Wink

Sweet, if there's enough interest I will look into group rates for cypress and see if we can get some money knocked off, of course those with passes don't have to pay, but will look into group rates.
Keiichi, come anyways, skiers are welcome

biggest obstacle for organizing a group ski trip is the date issue

I'd be up for going on the w/e's.
I've been boarding for a while now, and can try giving some pointers.  Going w/beginners will give me a chance to practice switch more =)... altho' i do ride switch better than a lot of ppl taking level 3 (cypress) lessons....

Or I might ski.. as I'm a lot slower on skis.....

No doubt, it's hard for my friend and I to make a date to go up let alone several people.  But I will set it either for night run or some time on the weekend.  People throw out dates and let me know what's good.

I would recommend just picking a date rather then trying to get a consensus. Give about 2-3 weeks notice and you should be good! Cheesy

I was up there tonight and it was good, lots of powder. Granted it's not as great for snowboarders who are advanced but it's cheap and fun.

It was snowing there tonight but a good night, not too cold.

Had a few good runs and carved a couple times!
