I have been boarding for almost 6 years.
I have had a seasons pass to grouse...hated it
I have had a pass to seymour for the last few years, and i love the mountain - i go during the weekdays as there are no little ski school kids to get in your way and you have the entire mountain.
Cypress is good for those that love the longer runs, because it does give you way more to choose from, seymour is great for learning on - thats where i learned, and that is where i have taught almost everyone i know to snowboard as well.

I am game to ride fridays during the day.
as this will be my last year riding Sad

why last year?

to be fair Seymour has some ok runs to learn on but the rope-tow is not a fun thing to learn for newbs
thats why i think right now cypress is a good choice to learn @ with the quad going up to the bunny hill or up to colins for the more daring beginners Tongue

the few people ive taught to board... well lets just say they were extremely high paced lessons 1st day boarding, 3green runs then onto blue runs... painful? yes! but more motivation to do shit properly, ex. not lean back while turning! Tongue
haha 2nd lesson i gave was up @ whistler on again blue runs ... in all fairness both guys i taught are pretty damn good (both only wen 3-4times in their life and their better then some people i know who've been going for 1-2years)

for me... i'll be up @ burnaby mountain park tonight (i think) building some jumps / doing some video Grin

Going up again tonight to Mt Seymour.  Will be there from 5:00pm on...

Bong, why are you stopping??

I wouldnt' be able to do Friday during the day but it seems people don't like night boarding as much.

I love night riding. You get an amazing view, i almost prefer to ride at nite then during the day.
To each is own on mountain preference..i will go anywhere but grouse!! ehehehe.

last year for a while prolly because i am going in for surgery, and i will need to recouperate for as long as possible.

Nick (Rancid) and I have gone to cypress together for nite riding, and it was great. nick we gotta head up again..when you free?
