Just wondering, if anyone has been in the same situation, probably some of U would have seen this kind coz I can tell a number of U commute long ways on highways... During the traffic jam, U drove on the fast lane, and U followed a slow moving car or van or whatever, it was so slow that started to get annoying, and then U can see through the front windshield of this "turtle" (or zig-zag a bit into the left road shoulder and discover) that the closest car in front is at least the length of 2 buses away!!! And U can see all cars in front of the "turtle" cut out from slow lane 1 by 1, which made U even more annoyed... This kind of "turtle" usually appears on the road when it's busiest, in between 8am to 9am, when everyone on the road is trying to get to work on time, and the "turtle" operator is just cruising on fast lane like he's or she's got nothing to do but just enjoying the scene along!! OMG, what the heck!!?? If U don't wanna move, then get back to the slow lane!! That's designated U turtle drivers!! What's the point of doing that on a fast lane?? And usually the turtle drivers are either someone over 50s (sometimes I don't really mind if it's a senior with handicap sign hanging driving at that slow speed, but they should be on slow lane anyways), man or lady, usually dressed up nicely, but an old classic shinny gas-eater (like Caprice Classic, Mustang, or Grand Marquis)... Don't they realize they are blocking the traffic in a serious way?? Anyone else in the same situation?? Let's share...

They're doing a service to all the people who go around them, and get in front. It's in your best interest to be one of those people.

I don't know if it happened, but as I was moving away from Ontario, they were planning to do that. Fast lane is for passing, if you're not passing, you can get a ticket for driving there.
That would rock.

They'd have to hire a lot more cops to enforce that particular rule...

I do that sometimes I don't leave very much room but enough for say 2 car lengths. That way I can just modulate the throttle rather then go > brake > go > brake etc. I find it more annoying when people ram on the throttle... then slam on their brakes hard and then the accordion effect happens behind me. I like to think I'm doing something positive for the flow of traffic. Of course, I'm no scientist Kev

Ah Ha, looks like I'm not the only person encounter this... I agree that those idiots (maybe except the seniors, they are old) should be ticketed!! My friend told me an extreme case... He was off school at SFU, took Hwy 1, and there was an asian woman driving a Corolla moving at 30km/hr on fast lane during rush hour, constantly braking, leaving at least a distance of the length of 3 buses!! People behind had to go into the HOV lane to overtake her, everyone passed and gave her a finger (U know which one, Ha Ha... ), my friend did the same and recognized that she's actually talking on her cell phone while cruising!! Really hate that, really should get a ticket...

Since there is no real law about it, as long as they go the speed limit, I won't get too worked up about it.
But shit, if they go below the speed limit I'm gonna have an aneurism, especially on the highway.

No laws... but our roads are littered with "Keep right except to pass" signs... shouldn't take a rocket surgeon to figure it out.

well....wutever u say...
well one thing is that signs in BC are really screwed...
i remember a section of Sea to Sky from Squamish back to Horseshoe Bay, there are a few curves that has those yellow caution suggested speed sign....and one of them says slow to 40 for that particular curve.......ok i know to expect 50-60 to go thru rite?
then right at where the curve is, there's the posted speed limit of 80.......i was like wtf?!?! so u're telling me to take the curve at 80 now?? geez...quite stupid the way where they put the signs......now that's y nobody pay any sort of attention to those signs
