Mounties say they believe the man's home in the Edmonds area has been broken into three times over the past week.
In the first incident, a suspect got inside while the senior was home, and punched him several times in the face before making off with some money. The victim told police the male intruder is possibly in his 50's, 5'5'', with a medium build, dark hair and stubble on his face.
Saturday afternoon, another break in was reported at the victim's home. Officers watched over the home until the late evening, but hours after they left, a thief managed to get inside again.
Corporal Alexandra Mulvihill tells News1130 the victim wasn't hurt in the second and third break ins, but she says police are concerned for his safety, "We're at a loss as to what the motive may be for this. This is simply a 91 year old man, who wants to live out his life in the home that he's lived in all his life. A full team of investigators are working this file and currently, we do have members outside the residence again."
Mounties don't know if the same suspect is connected to all three incidents, and say they're doing everything possible to solve the case. If you think you know anything that could help, call Burnaby RCMP.
Seriously, W-T-F.
