Hey, I'm new around these parts, so I thought I'd say hello! I don't have my Mazda 3 yet, but the countdown is on till I get to go shopping. See, I am up in Prince George and much to my dismay we have no Mazda dealership here. Luckily, I'll be making a trip down south in a couple weeks. In the meantime I've been doing my research online and it looks like the Mazda 3 is the car for me. I test drove one the last time I was down south and loved the way it drove. Anyway, I can't wait till I can participate with comments about my actual car. I'm hoping to buy from Wolfe's in Langley, since they are close to where I'll be staying and because they seem to take an active role in this community-- gotta respect a dealer for that. I'll do my shopping around, though. So anyway, hello! I've already enjoyed reading the chat on here, and hopefully I'll be able to stick around once I get my new car.

More importantly, we must know... SEDAN OR HATCH?

More importantly, we must know... SEDAN OR HATCH? OMG The thread has already gone astray. Great choice either way, Synecdoche.

Thanks, all. Hope I don't start another battle, but I'm going for the sedan-- I just am not a fan of hatches in general. Hoping to get the GS in the indigo blue, but I like pretty much all the colours.

well the 3 is very nice... tho u're getting the GS sedan, a 2.0L........daily driver wise.. perfect i would say.....if u want a bit more fun, go with the GT 2.3 I like the styling of the sedan (3/4) from front nose all the way to the C-pillar From C-pillar onward to the end, has really turned me off and made sure Hatch was my choice anyways..the 2.0 will be fine as long as u get 5-speed Hope u'll enjoy it as much as the rest of us do

protege, for the first 10 months or so I'd have to travel, but I am planning on moving to Vancouver or Victoria come May 2006 so after that things should be okay.

Ha ha, I'd love to, but I only have so much money to spend. I'm still a (not-so) starving student.
