Yep. Unofficial meets can be organized by members as well.
I think we've done pool before but usually after a meet we'll go to a place like Q1 and play for kicks. Pool is great for the rainier months. A nice indoor activity.
The boating idea is pretty pricey. As well, with only 6 per boat it would segregate members a bit. I'd prefer to have something we can all do together. Once again, something that can surely be organized by a member as a get together.

The drivers would need a pleasurecraft operator's license... just fyi this is not true if you're renting a boat...you only need to be 21 years+ with a valid driver's license, and credit card for deposit. this is taken straight from their site: "Pleasure Craft Operators Certification (PCOC) is not required for rental agencies. Instead, a comprehensive boat and safety assessment as outlined by Transport Canada Regulations takes place before you depart on your boat." |

This time it is for vacation the other times it was Sunday trips to ride the park. We went zip lining and I rode the park a couple days but if I won the 50 million lotto max, I'd buy a house up here

We can rent multiple boats if needed...from Sewell's Marina at Horseshoe Bay their rates have gone up this year though! 17 foot, 60hp (6 person max) is $63/hour (4 hour special @ $221) 17 foot, 75hp (6 person max) is $73/hour (4 hour special @ $256) for all you horsepower freaks out there...60hp is PLENTY (trust me)...LOL =) here's the site http://www.sewellsmarina.com/boatrentals.htmland my apologies...i must have been on crack when i said $80/2 hours...i checked my credit card transaction history....it was a little over $120 for 2 hours WITH extra insurance I was there a few weeks ago, and it was pretty awesome We had 6 people in the boat, and it made our boat really slow. Maybe 3-4 people in a 6 person boat would be a better idea if you wanna go fast. |
