@Kev & Dan: Yeah, I feel quite lucky since my parents are going with me (them paying) and I also get to see a China that is VERY different from one even of 5 years ago. Esp. in Beijing, the Olympics has changed the city in a very big way both culturally (good thing) and in terms of infrastructure.
@Boostslut: You should visit China! The big cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong are all very safe.

@Leighton: Are you sure that's the only envy?  The 5D makes my 17-40 a true wide angle lens like it's supposed to be....now it's made me desire to have a 2x-7x L lens since that range gives pretty good bokeh. |

It's been a while. Busy with too many things....even neglected to continue my domain  Anyways, new stuff! Note that most of the shots below was done using artificial lighting, not natural lighting.   The second shot there wasn't focused that well on the eyes (I should've used a higher f-stop to lock in more focused areas), but she liked her smile in that one so we picked it. The shot below shows you what lights I used  And then using strobes:  |
