It's time for me to start my own thread I am nowhere near pro, but I am slowly learning. Feel free to educate me. I was messing with Aperture 2.0 that I just installed and decide to edit one of my favourite pics: Enjoy! More to come. dL

Can someone tell me how I can calibrate or get a correct colour profile for my Vista PC? The pics on my PC seem to be yellower than my Macs.

I like the first one...the sharpness and clarity of the front headlight looks good.
Anyways...you know what caught my eye? The weird reflection on the rear passenger window.

I hope it's not too overdone. but I don't know how to edit out the noise completely. I guess I need a better camera to begin with Btw these pics are all taken on that Panasonic camera that Olivia got (forgot the model) in Auto mode hehe.. yea I'm nub still dL

Theres a lot of noise in the pics...What ISO are you shooting at?
The only thing I would so is play with the shadow/highlight tool in Photoshop to try and create some luminosity and reduce noise
Good Job Derek!

I used Auto mode but from the settings that the computer tells me, it's ISO 200. And I did play with the Highlights and Shadow settings and it didn't help reduce the noise.

P&S cameras tend to have high noise, even at low ISO. Was the original picture slightly under exposed? Still, your shots have nice composition. I wish I could shoot cars as well.
I use Noise Ninja too and it works well.

Probably because your camera auto focused on the headlights...

I can see that diffuse glow filter was also added in one or two of the shots at least. Diffuse Glow has a "noise" function too
