According to the seller’s information on the car, it is one of the five built to star in the movie “Batman”, from 1989. In fact, this is the car number 5. Since it can’t be registered, and therefore cannot be used as a regular car, it shows only 54 miles in its odometer, most of them surely run in the movie making process. Besides buying the car, the new owner will have to sign some papers with Warner Bros., probably to exempt the studio of any legal liabilities concerning the use of the car.
People that love technical specs will like to know this Batmobile is powered by a Chevrolet V8 small block 350 (5.7-litre) engine, which generated around 230 hp by 1989, what may not be much for a 20 feet (6.1 m) long and 8 feet (2.44 m) wide car, especially considering it seems to be powered by turbine.
