So I finally uploaded some pics, just some random stuff, like flowers, my new nephew E.J. and some friends.

If you have any comments or things I could do to improve the look of the photos, feel free to post.

These were all taken on my Nikon D60 with the 18-55mm lens on auto mode.

Thanks

the leaves picture...
the focus is on the bottom leaves, so it might be better if you move the camera down a bit to bring the focus up slightly

I like the water droplets on the leaves... cool Todd.  I agree with Thomas's comment about bringing the focus a little higher.

Cute little red baby! Cheesy

taken with the kit lens?

like the leaves picture...the bokeh looks pretty nice...but yeah same thing about the focus.

baby pics look pretty good...a little bright.  You may want to make a little light box (cut it out of paper) to diffuse the light on the on board flash to soften it up a little.  Otherwise looks good.

hood on the lens?  probably not.  the hood just prevents unwanted light from hitting your lens on a bright sunny day.  I'll show you the box thing in person.  Works quite well....free and will do you for the time being.

How do you find the D60 in terms of ease of use?

Do you like its autofocus?

Thanks.

i love the D60. i literally just powered it up and took those pics. the auto focus works really well, as does the manual focus.

i cam from a Nikon 8800 pro-sumer? camera. so this to me is a huge upgrade. the pics of the old nikon were really good, but shooting in raw with the D60 is just surreal. and the shutter speed is super fast.

i think for anyone who is looking at getting a dslr, and wants a warranty from a local retailer, than this would be my choice.

this site is great and the review is very fair and accurate.
