I like the ideas started on M3F with the photography assignments. Perhaps we could start one here since we got a lot of photo enthusiasts on this board now. Doesn't have to be cars related. polls are a waste of time.
IMHO, if you guys want to do more photography, just do a general assignment and post your results for C&C. it gets you out more for shooting and gets you thinking creatively
me and a few guys did that last year. no judging, just posting pics that fit a general topic like "laughter" or "movement" or "back light" etc.

You got a point there, but I was just trying to gather some voices before actually starting it up. Don't wanna type all these rules or explanations then realize that nobody is going to get involved. That's why I started this up. Seems to be positive so far but I'm kinda stuck as to how to get people involved without prizes, or competitions. Suggestions? dL |

the motivation is a reason to use your camera and learn about photography and get constructive critique on it.
the whole point is, if you're interested in furthering yourself in photography, you don't need a reason to shoot.
these topics just get your foot in the door to open up more possibilities

im not knocking your idea. i think its good, but seriously, if people see the thread and want to get involved, they will. as far as having sponsors for pics, it wont work. not here on this platform. you may get a gold star or a kudos, but twm or n-motion isnt going to give us prizes for taking good pictures.

The problem is if I was to start the topic, it wouldn't have worked because I don't even know how to regulate it. That's why I am getting suggestions on a separate thread.
Oh well I guess I can just start like a theme then gather in pics and then put them together and people can critique why one works more effectively over another and perhaps learn from there?
