They did not sign him yet.  So far they've just acquired his rights or something, which gives them the possibility of signing him.

Richard Park is one of the players from the Minnesota Wild who burned us in the playoffs 2 years ago.  Speedy winger guy....and no he would not be on our 4th line.

I'm glad Sopel is toast. Park is an awesome player, one of the better players in the league.

Super Bert "Bertuzzzzi" is back and I hope he kicks ass again this year. He should have never been gone this long. I wanna see Bert hit a few people into the boards....so nice.

I think we will have a pretty dam fine team this year.

Sopel looks like a wrestler on steriods.  I remember when he first started, he was a relatively skinny defenseman.  The over one off-season, he gained like 20 or 30 pounds and his neck just swelled up.  Hope he's not on drugs or anything....

We did sign Park for a one year contract, $750,000.

need4speed:  park is a good player.. but he's not one of the best players in the leauge.. far from it.. but he'll make a good 3rd liner or possibly 2nd line.

anyways.. we needed to sign PAUL KARIYA instead.. he would bring in more fans since he is a local boy and he would be awesome on the 2nd line and imagine a power play with him the top line and like jovo or ohlund..( btw, he's my fav player , park is like a poor man's kariya.)

I am one of the few ppl that want bertuzzi out of here. i am not a fan of his and i think we need to get him out of here.. i still think he screwed us over.. with him in the lineup we would have been able to take out calgary ..

we need more d and we need some MUSCLE. or else it's another 1st round outing, which is the last thing i want.. but calgary and edmonton are so stacked now .... and we play them 16 times during the season.. so we'll see what happens..

Yeah I think Sopel is doing something to increase weight....who knows eh.

I didnt say best all I said was better, better than a few out there. I think in the future he will be just like a Paul Kariya. I think Bertuzzi got the wrong end of the stick on this. If you watch the tape over and over it was the dog pile on Bert that made the injuries on Moore more than Bertuzzis hit. Just my 2 cents anyway. But you have to admit Bert does have a big impact on other players.

park will be good, but he will not be a kariya .. i know kariya is coming off his worst year.. but he's a 7 seven time all star and 2 time 100 + scorer.. i predict he'll light it up in nashville this year and he is their main scoring option.

I think Bertuzzi's hit was a bit goonish... didn't need to happen.  But hell... on any given day, there's plenty of hits that hard, and at least that goonish.  Just so happened that this one went badly.  He just got singled out because of the horrible consequences of a pretty normal thing.

I'll be glad to have him back.

I don't agree with Bertuzzi's actions but this wouldn't have happened if the NHL did their job and suspended Moore for that hit on Naslund.  How that wasn't called a cheapshot is beyond me.  As a Canucks fan, I am excited to see Bertuzzi start the season!  Naslund, Bertuzzi, Morrison?  The 'West Coast Express' line is back!

As for Richard Park, that is great news.  Canucks management realizes how the rule changes are going to benefit speed guys like Park.  Ex Canuck Geoff Sanderson would benefit from these rule changes too.
