I was in the parking lot of McD's waiting for Speed3 for my HKS SSQV Cheesy

I couldn't call Thomas (I only have his number) because my phone was out of batteries.  Where were you guys off to?

Some were going home, and a few of us went to Starlight.

Are you going to run your HKS in VTA? I was thinking of changing mine to VTA rather then recirculate.

I actually have it installed this morning.  I am doing VTA right now, but throwing a CEL.  Stupid me, this morning I forgot to reattach my MAF....the poor thing lost power whenever I shifted.

Now that I have it back on, it runs much smoother.  The sound is HUGE and draws unnecessary attention IMHO.  When I get my Cobb SRI, it's going to be even bigger.  Definitely going to do recirc when I have the chance.  Kev, do you know how the recirc adapter fits into the HKS?  Do you just connect the hose into the HKS (after fitting the recirc adapter) and just clamp it down?

You got it right. There is an adapter that attaches onto one end. You just put the recirculation hose onto that end and clamp it down.

Let me know if you need any help and I can swing by.

Also, I'd like to hear how yours sounds. I wouldn't mind the sound as I don't have much of a "whoosh" sound without a true CAI on it.

If you're free today, you could swing by Thomas' place and I could help you. We are here right now and should be for a few hours.

Argh, I wish I saw your post earlier.  Are you guys still there?

My CEL turned off after about 15km's.  Now all I get is the "VRROOOM PSSSSH" sound.  It......gives me the jollies when I hear it go off Wink

I've got it on a stock airbox right now, and I've also removed a plastic cover piece (along with the IC cover).  I can't wait till my Cobb SRI comes.

I think I know why the CEL was there.  The MAF was off, so it took some time for the computer to recalibrate.

If you get the CEL again, I have an OBDII reader to scan the code and clear it.

Also, if you still need help shoot me a PM and we could meet up tomorrow (Sunday)
