Canon is becoming light years behind the competition.

4 years of technological advances and all they did was add a larger sensor and mediocre weather sealing?  for fuck sakes.....

40D/50D bodies are less than half the price and offer a lot more to aid the aspiring photographer

a co-worker of mine was given a 5DmkII for his bday and he returned it for a 50D because there was no difference in picture quality for his type of photography, which is similar to mine.

Even ISO testing he did, the cleanliness of the 5D was far from the leaps and bounds 5D nut huggers claim it to be.

having said all that, I'm probably still buying one.

all my current gear is paid for thorugh the last 2 years of wedding Tongue and the weddings i have this year = 5DmkII
