Google is your friend

Quote
What schools already have a U-Pass?
Simon Fraser University (SFU) and University of British Columbia (UBC) students have made their U-Pass programs a phenomenal success since being launched in September 2003. Langara College has been added to the programs as of May 2008. Transit use was up 39% and 53% respectively in the first year alone, and another 7% and 10% in the second year. These programs were developed through extensive negotiations with the school administrations and student governments, and were approved by student referendums. Students at both SFU and UBC have recently passed referendums to extend their programs at a fixed price to the end of August 2008.

Being vague always helps, I tried U pass BCIT, and then went with U pass

It's pretty bogus that some universities get it and some don't.

i almost never put it into the machine
*most* drivers are ok with me just showing the pass to them
some doesnt even bother looking when i show them
no one ever questioned if i am the person in the picture (i had hair in the picture)

lol well technically thats how it works right
when i went to ubc i almost never put the thing into the machine cause im getting on at the last stop and 99% of ppl are students

but now i go to langara i board the bus in the intermediate stops so.... to prevent problems i just put it into the machine rather than haf the chacne that its an anal driver and wants me to put it into machine (more time wasted)
it doesn't take long anyways

i never put it in unless the driver requested me to do it
in previous years, out of 1 semester, i usually get asked to put the pass in <3 times

but dono why, in the past year (3 semesters), i do not remember there was a single time that the driver asked me to put the pass in
