I know it's last minute....

Anyone want to go drive to Nakusp this weekend, have a little lunch and drive BC's very own tail of the dragon. If we're lucky, maybe even find some hotsprings.

You can't tell me this dosent look like fun:

Kelowna to Vernon. Vernon through Cherryville and Lumby to the Needles Ferry. Take the ferry across the lower Arrow lake, through Fauquier to Nakusp.

Wow - looks fun.

I'll have to add this route to my itinerary in the future.  I might consider rolling out to Kelowna next weekend.  I forgot that this was Thanksgiving long weekend, plus I still have a touch of that nasty cold/virus or whatever that's spreading around the Lower Mainland.

I've driven some of the best roads BC has to offer, except duffy lake.. Which I hear is killer, and this one is pretty well at the top of my list. We know it as "The Needles Ferry". It is absolutely GNARLY from Cherryville to the ferry at Fauquier. But good gnarly, clean fresh smooth pavement, never ending twists and turns through canyons and some of the best scenery you'll ever see. Not to mention, some of the best natural hotsprings that BC has to offer.

Going through my trusty "map book" - Coldstream to Fauquier is rated the second best road in southern BC.

Just for your comparison, Duffy Lake Road is considered third.

Exciting stuff.

Wow that's a lot of driving.  My mom just headed up to Kelowna tonight.

I was thinking of doing a roadtrip on my own, driving clears the head.

I didn't know where Nakusp was till today

DAMN! I'm in Kamloops for the next week driving truck....I wish I could join you guys. I live in Winfield but work in Kelowna except for when I am covering for our guys out in Kamloops, which as I said, is this week unfortunately. Keep me in mind next time you guys plan a drive or even just a get together. My name is Graham, you can  just message me on here.

Graham you missed a great drive !  Tight turns, big sweeping turns and a couple slow straight aways. Road was mostly dry and light traffic. It was a nice eye opener to what the ms3 can do.

This was the first time I was able to truly flex the ms3's muscles. There is so much more car available than anyone on here knows. Autocross is one thing, but when your blasting up to 170 km/h and back down to 60 for that next tight hairpin and repetitive switchbacks... You really know that this is a true drivers car.

Kris and I went to Nakusp, had dinner in the Three Lions Pub. We then went to the Hot Springs which were awesome, and ended up meeting up with an old friend in town who lives there. We spent the night and came back through Revelstoke the next day. Absolutely awesome.

I'll have some pics up tonight.

The Black Speed3 is H20speed from here.

The white hatch is Justin B, the car has an Endyne built B20 bored to a 2.1, dynoed nearly 300 WHP N/A and it runs LOW 11 sec 1/4 miles.

The red hatch is Shane J, this car has won the Canadian Nationals in SM2 autocross. I've co-driven this car at a national event and placed second right behind Shane.

And then the red Speed 3 is obviously me.

The water pics are on the Ferry from Nakusp to Revelstoke.
