Actually i traded in my '04 3 and my wife's '01 vanilla corolla at a used car dealership (a church friend of mine works there) that imports US cars. It was an equal value trade, no money involved. I threw some numbers around guessing that the 3 was worth $13000 and the corolla was worth $6000. Didn't have to pay GST/PST... the dealer also threw in a full tank of gas, one free full detail and window tinting (guy who tinted the car quoted the price at $280, 7 windows is expensive!)

That's really good! White 5's are yummy. Have you noticed any differences with the US model?

Yup... i have a base model US 5.. all the US 5s have 17in rims and side/curtain airbags. I have a package that adds AC, 6cd changer, spoiler, and moonroof. So it 'looks' like a CAN GT 5.. but it lacks fogs, Auto climate control, Auto headlights/wipers and tweeters (had all those on my 3), and those nifty auto-close doors... though.. i don't really miss those features. Beggars can't be choosers! but.. the airbags were the dealmaker when compared to a CAN 5 GS which was also an option! The used car dealer pays for the DRL activation and thankfully, it runs full power (unlike the CAN 5) so i can run my HIDS as my DRLS (which i would have had to pay myself if i imported the car myself) I looked around for used CAN 06 gt 5s but.. they're like nonexistant in the used car pages... oh yeah.. i seem to be going ALOT faster going 60 now

now lower it jk i would love to lower it. have been looking for the rite drop. love how the M3 pro-kit looks on the 5. I just wana make sure they r not too harsh for the wifey and when the time comes, the babies. our other car is a 04 6spd Miata with LSD and H&R on bilstein. it's really harsh. Wife complains whenever she drives/sits

the pro-kit is not stiff at all "slightly" stiffer than stock but definitely "comfy"

Nice ride NB8C! Not feeling the red lug nuts but the rims are hot.
The 5's front barely clears curbs at parking lots, although I'd love to lower my 5, I just don't want to have to worry about me or my wife scratching/bumping/cracking the bottom of the bumper to heck. I'd rather get another car when the mod bug bites.
