fun fun fun some random points I remember: kevin and his "infectious laugh" waiting for the beaver to pop up to breath again Will missing out on his 4 meals today before finally getting food to eat - breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon snack all the cars getting separated while leaving, and then magically rejoining afterwards just before we arrive to dinner

I had a great time. The tour guide had a great sense of humour. She even had a couple awesome stories about an old Civic she used to drive.
I'll have to drive around that area again some time. It's not full of massive twisties but it's pretty quiet and full of gentle turns and elevation changes.

We couldn't have picked a better day...beautiful sunshine, great company and great tour. It was great to see some new faces too! We need to plan more interactive meets. It was fun to race Russell on the generator, etc.

We didn't get back home until 6pm, oh well next time! Generating facilties are always great places to tour, we went to a dam near North Bonneville in WA and it was very interesting. I would love to check out Stave Falls.
Did any of you end up driving my recommended route? It's definitely no Akina other than the two hairpins coming up from Stave Falls but it's a very nice quiet drive with some good high speed turns that remind us of why we own Mazdas.

Yes, we did a group cruise around the eastward remainder of Dewdney Trunk around to Keystone. I took a wrong turn leading the group at Hayward and we prematurely returned to Lougheed instead of driving over the Ruskin Dam and merging onto 287th St. It was still a very pleasant and gentle drive.

Reviving an old thread but this is why I didn't want to route you guys via Ruskin Dam, they periodically closed it for unknown reasons. Here it is from the nifty new Streetview. http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&layer=c&cbll=49.196696,-122.407955&panoid=UyORRD4UAeydTa3HRbxl8A&cbp=12,180.17,,0,9.85&ll=49.195405,-122.4066&spn=0,359.984872&z=16
