Sup everyone, I'm Donald, my wife and I just bought a 2007 Mazda 5 GT, black with black cloth with windows already nice and tinted on Saturday, saw this site before but thought it was reserved for Mazda 3 owners until I saw that 5s were welcome here as well. Smiley Gotta say we absolutely love it so far, it's been great at the drive-in theatre, it's nice and comfortable (love the auto climate control), but when I took it for a good hard drive on Dewdney Trunk Road through Mission and Ruskin with all its curves and everything, you know when you think you love someone so much and then something happens to really love that person even more? That's the feeling. Smiley I knew it handled pretty well from two test drives I did (a new 2009 GS and this 2007 GT) but aside from the body roll (which was expected for the tall body, certainly not excessive, better lower sway bars may do the trick), it was just exhilarating when pushed. And with a baby on the way, we'll really enjoy the versatile and practical side of the 5.

I'm looking forward to talking to some of you and picking up some tips on how to enjoy my 5 even more.  Smiley

Welcome!

I am a fan of the 5 but I still love my 3. Not at that point in my life yet where I need a bigger vehicle.

Congrats on the purchase and on the new addition to the family!

Thank you everyone
Welcome appreciated
All Mazdas unite!

lol. I came from an 08 Corolla which I had it nice and modded to how I wanted it to handle... surprising I get the 5 completely stock and it's just almost perfect, although my better half didn't believe me when I said I wouldn't mod the 5 lol  -- she only asks I don't lower it, we need the comfy ride for the baby. I kinda almost want to try Autocrossing with the 5, that'll be quite something.

not sure if they would allow the 5 to autocross. But it would be cool to see a people mover in action.

oh btw welcome to the forum.
