PopVox is New Media BC initiative that is a not for profit organization, one of its mandates is recognize BC as a leader in digital media. The PopVox awards is open to BC residents to submit new media in various categories. One of which is Game Design.

Snip from the website (http://www.popvoxawards.com/about) :

Quote
PopVox (from vox populi – L. voice of the people) is the people’s choice awards held during Vancouver Digital Week. The PopVox Awards recognizes all major sectors of the digital media industry and celebrates its creativity, talent, and achievements.

[PLUG] We submitted our game (Saturate) to PopVox for Best Game (PC/Mac/Linux) category, and while I'm not asking you to vote for us specifically.. we would appreciate any votes, if you think our game deserves it. On that note, we are looking for play testers so if you are interested, let me know!

A little bit of history: We originally started this as a school project (IAT 410: Advanced Game Design) which teaches game design concepts for which the entire 3 month course is devoted to creating a game, either from scratch or using various game engines to build our game on, like Torque or Unreal. Although the course is over for which we took first place from a panel of judges from EA, we have decided to see where this game could take us.[/PLUG]

Oh.. we did notice a bug in the way that the votes are handled, that even though you click vote, and register and it says you have voted for blah it doesn't actually register the vote until you head back again and click on the vote button again Tongue
