Hey guys,
I'm in the process of looking for a Ms3, and on the same token am trying to sell my old car as well.
Just wondering if it would help the forum a bunch by having just a for sale section for Mazda cars and a for sale section for all other makes of cars that one is trying to sell and one for parts by itself.
Really hard on the eyes right now trying to sift through all the parts I'd like to buy used for my future car and tryng to find the right car at the same time.
Just my 2cents...
Thanks, Percy

Not really needed in our forums. If need be look at Craigslist or buysell. I know what you're trying to say but that sub section might not be in use as much and might be deemed "dead space." But alas I'm not a forum mod so this is just my opinion. Happy hunting.

Nope Right now, we have one section for car-related buy / sell / trade items (cars and parts); and another section for non car-related items http://www.bcmazda3.com/forum/index.php?board=29.0http://www.bcmazda3.com/forum/index.php?board=30.0Most of the car related items are parts. There haven’t been a lot of cars for sale (Mazdas or non-Mazdas) to justify creating another sub-section. As with all other sections, we do keep an eye out for members’ interest to see if additional boards should be created (e.g., Mazdaspeed section, photography section, Lower Mainland chat, etc). But please do keep the suggestions coming

The interest of a car buy/sell section is way less then fight club (or heat forum). Until that is setup...you have no hope in the car classified section.

May as well throw my two cents in - I'd love to see a buy/sell section created. I think it would be interesting even to those not selling their cars right away to see what's available, what the going prices are like, etc...

Good answers, I think of of it this way, If I had a Mazda already and frequent these forums on a regular basis, and if i were wanting to buy a second car for the wife, g/f etc . I would be more trusting of buying from the bcmazda3 forum people and score a great car and help out a fellow mazda 3 member at the same time. It's a win win situation. Same as for parts, but that's just my thought.

I guess what the mods COULD do is make a sub forum inside the general for sale. I doubt much attention would be given to the forums though. People who try to sell their used vehicles have a hard time because we are a small community (unlike revscene with size and diversity). We all own mazda3's, so it's not like a whole lot of people are looking to buy another 3 (or a different type of car) lol.

Typically, a subsection will be created if it appears there is enough traffic to warrant it.
I just took a quick look back to the beginning of the year, only 6 pages to eyeball by the way - and found three 3's and 1 RX-8 for sale. So essentially, 1 posting a month.
IMO, this does not warrant the creation of such a subsection.

IMO selling a car is different from selling car parts if the car parts are not sold, the sellers usually keep it until someone eventually buy it or just let it rot in garage but selling a car is different if a post is 3 months old, chances are the car has been sold already so there is not much reason to look at older car selling posts combined with the low number of used car for sale on our forum, it doesnt seems like there will be much traffic for that section
