 Afro

Well, been car hunting for a while, and was pretty set on getting a 2010 Mazda3gte... But I went with getting something I've wanted more since basically childhood... a Muscle car..

Despite the higher cost, and all the panic about GM, I put in an order for a Black 2SS/RS Camaro with ground effects, body colored engine cover, 6spd manual.

This site was a good find, and I've enjoyed reading up here a lot... I'll still be sticken around to read up here but unfortunately not gonna be cruising in a mazda3 anytime soon.

How long is the wait you've been quoted? And if I may ask, how much?

Nice car......you can cruise with us in your camero. That will be cool!

Just there are quite a few quality issue with camero. Did you read up?

Hopefully when you pick up yours, there won't be a stack of wheel weight on the brakes

Thanks guys  Afro

Yeah I'll definately put up some pic's when the order comes in.

The cost was MSRP basically exactly what you'd pull off the canadian website. None of the dealers I tried were negotiating really. A lot of people are paying MSRP or above right now because it's "new" and production is "limited". I guess that makes me a little bit of a sucker, and I coulda maybe saved some bucks waiting it out.... but I need/want a car sooner than later and would likely have ended up buying a different car completely rather than waiting, if it came down to trying to get something at lower cost.

I've heard of some people getting deals but they've all been in the states, and the deals haven't been all that impressive.

Mine ended up around 47 grand with the options I selected after tax. (More than I had innitially planned on spending  Cry )

I've read up pretty frequently.. I follow the forums @ camaro5.com as well as any magazine or news articles I can find on em.
"so far" it seems most of the issues have been isolated, minus the couple widespread ones... but those were caught early and seem to have been resolved with fairly simple quick fixes which for a small handful of people entailed a half hour visit to the dealer.

I'm sure more issues will turn up (as with any new model car), but as mine hasn't even been built yet. I am pretty confident I won't have to endure most of the issues that have arisen thus far.

Not sure on the delivery date yet, waiting to get a call back from the dealer to let me know more details once the order gets processed completely.  (I believe they are also going through some changes in the manufacturing schedules at the plant so I assume things will change.) From what I've heard...the pace is going to pick up a bit? Which I hope is accurate, as it will mean a quicker delivery for moi.

I'll post updates here when I find out more solid details. Afro

I have personally seen Red in person when it was on display at the richmond automall chev dealer (dennison). I also got to see an orange one that was a customer order when I was putting in my own order. They had it in the back and let me take a peek  Grin I went n checked out a yellow one that was being displayed out in coquitlam.   I also saw a red one driving in white rock a couple days ago.

Anyone know if something like this is Legal in BC?

Trying to find alternatives to drilling holes for a bracket on the front.
