Man, I still have the rental Uplander(if you don't know, it looks like a pig). I hope it won't be too much longer before they fix my 5. My 3 is on its way, maybe I should reconsidering getting that or not. Too bad I don't really like the new Civic.

Well the 3 hasn't suffered a similar problem, which is somewhat odd as the powertrain between the 5 and the 3 GT is the same. I wonder what kind of chassis modifications were made to the 5 to cause such a problem.

Well, unless the details that we've heard about this recall are false... I think it's 98% driver error, and 2% problem with the vehicle.  I wouldn't worry about it too much... I'm sure Mazda will make it right.

I'm still hearing end of October for the fix.  Terrence (and M5) - BITCH at Mazda, and BITCH at your dealers.  They really should do something nice for us... extend our warranty?  Offer us some accessories?

You're right! Putting us in a rental car is not what we wanted when we bought our 5's! What are the chances of our dealer's giving us some accessories...
