Pretty impressive.  I hope she sees herself on TV; I hope her family see her on TV; and I hope all her co-workers and friends see her to TV

Yeah I saw that. I think public embarrassment is worse than any ticket she could have received. She probably feels like such a donkey.

hope they start the ban soon.  I've seen a woman driving with her knees while doing her make up, mascara, lipstick...drinking her coffee and reading the paper.  One of my friends was driving the ambulance with lights and sirens and got smoked big time by some lady who was on the phone and not paying attention to the road.  There should be huge penalties/punishment.

I catch up on sleep on my drive into work. The phone just wakes me up so I turn it off. Gotta be safe out there after all.

Given your accident history perhaps you should reconsider?

Like I said -- no flame intended.  If it offends, I apologize.
But...

Nah, not mad. I know these things can happen to anyone but I know I can do my part to prevent as best as I can.

I will try not to do it. Slowly, but surely.

Hopefully this thread will make people more aware of it instead of brushing it off.  We've all done stupid stuff when we're young.  Hopefully threads like this will make people smarten up sooner rather than later after learning the hard way.  We all learn eventually.  When I look back at when I was younger... i now see how stupid i was =)

It's not cool to text while driving, and nobody is impressed =).

I text while driving all the time   Hide
But i usually do it w/o looking at the phone.

But y she needed to use 2 hands to text??
I just text with one hand and press with the thumb
 Huh

Just wondering is the a new by-law that we have to use handsfree and cannot text while driving?

That's so bad! I hope that chick see's that and hopefully her family and friends constantly remind her of how she's a dumbass.

I read an article about texting and people.  A girl who was texting while walking, fell into a uncovered man hole opening.
