Hey guys. Just making sure you're all ok out there. Not sure who's on the Westside and who's not but let us know if there's anything you need. I spent the weekend with a gf who's been on alert the entire time. I know it can be nerve racking when you're close to it.

my wifes aunt and uncle were evacuated this week. just hoping there place doesnt burn down and its not to far from the gorman bros mill.

My friend's parents have lost their house, but it looks like my friend's house is going to be spared. Fortunately everybody was ok.
Let's hope they get the fires fully contained quickly.

Just making sure you're all ok out there. Aggie! I'm not okay.. mmm baby i'm burning for you. In all seriousness, the guy on CHBC news could not have said it better. Take your irreplaceables with you, and the rest is just "stuff" as long as it's insured. Fire is just something you deal with in the Okanagan. I'm in Upper Rutland/ Black Moutain. We're okay up here, Smokey but Okay. I sure get a wicked light show every night off my deck though. |

It spread incredibly quick! My friends and I watched it unfold from the very beginning...watched it expand from our boat on the lake. Within hours we were being forced off by bombers, ash and smoke. I got stuck in traffic with the Gellatly bay evacuees after the fire jumped the hwy. What an eerie feeling that was!!! Kudos to our fire fighters. Things seem to be getting back to normal. Although, I'm amazed at how much the news has exaturated it. It's not quite the armageddon it's being made out to be. |

Half of west Kelowna is being evacuated even if your 10 km away from the fire, be ready to leave in 30 seconds!!!!!!!! And in other news, the fire has claimed appx. 3 houses. Exaggerated??? Yeah I think so. I'll be honest, I have my important shit all in one Tupperware box. Living up next to a forest, just be prepared and all will be fine. |

Well the sky was certainly doing something in Edmonton on Saturday night while I was there. What was falling was trees and building materials from buildings under construction. Luckily none hit my 3. Take care all of you in the Valley.  |

Burn baby burn. The fire official said that the land is so rich with fuel in that area, that they could have 10 martin mars on the fire and it would do literally nothing. |
