Got my Mazda package today. A zoom-zoom magazine, a cd with accessories (that only works in Windows! BAD) and a welcome letter asking me to fill a survey at mazdatown.ca. And a chance to win a BOSE wave sound system... which I probably won't win.

I got my zoom-zoom magazine too! Gotta love all the propaganda I filled out the survey to let the dealership know what I found needed improvement on the whole experience. All-in all it's been pretty good. The car still has under 2000km on it so far which is really quite sad considering how much fun it is to drive. Babies tend to keep me at home instead of headed up the mountains every weekend. I'm planning to buy some proper oil and a K&N filter for the 8k service. Anyone done an oil change on their 2010 yet? |

That is cheap to do. VW charged me $60 on my previous car. I don't have the tools to do the job at home. I would go with synthetic if I could. If it's every 8000kms then price wouldn't be an issue. I'm still at 3000kms so still far off from an oil change.

Nice car, I bought the GT Sedan in the same color. My car is also coming from the port and Patrick told me it wouldn't be here until at least Thursday or Friday. Now reading your posts do you think I have a good chance of getting it by then? Or do you think I might have to wait a bit longer? I'm getting so excited, I am very impatient!! LOL

The one thing I keep forgetting to mention is, where the hell is RDS? I thought new car stereos had this on by default. Is there an option from Mazda? Is it only on the GT or Speed3?

Hey Silver star, I have exactly that color and configuration (GT, cloth, auto) I was thinking to get the darker silver (gun metal or something) but instead i couldn't wait and got this one on the lot. Its great! can't see the dust and road grime on the car since it blends in quite well.
I've been babying my car for the first 1000 km (said in the user manual) but just as passed 1000 k this week, the weather is all Vancouverish now... can't wait to drive to Whistler this winter!
Hope you enjoy your car and the wait will be well worth it

RDS is the feature for radio stations listing the name of station, title of song, etc. It's been around for years and I thought it would be in this car and not the higher end stereo set up. But you have a new stereo in your car, does it have that feature? |

Figured out this week that I can play/pause, rewind, fast forward my blackberry tour as it streams audio via bluetooth. I thought I had to control the music from the blackberry. I wonder if there's more function using an iphone or ipod touch.

On iphone Play/Pause works with the big play button but that's it. The AVRCP implementation on the iphone is super gay. Maybe in the next update there will be more of the protocol implemented.
