I had nightmares last night, but it was about clowns...

Drunken clowns perhaps?

I just saw this today! I know I haven't been here every day because of work and studying but I think meets need to be posted more visible. At the top of the page, the animated gif or what ever flashed to quickly and unless I wait to see all of the info, I would never know. Today I saw something flash about 'halloween' and 'meet' and quickly scrolled all the way to the bottom to find this. I didn't hear this mentioned in the other threads I respond to. It's hard to invest a lot of time to read all the threads here and so I click the 'replies to my posts' first. But obviously that takes up enough time of my visit here and never get to any new threads. I think I'll try something new and start from the forum home page and go through each subject quickly starting from the bottom. I think the meets sections should be more visible, just a suggestion.

On the index page of the forum there is a rotating banner that has announcements, etc. I sometimes put links to the meet in my signature, but I forget usually. Grin

That's what I was talking about, unless I wait for all the announcements to roll I won't know. I didn't know it got updated often because I rarely wait to see all announcements. You guys are just way too fast responding and the list keeps growing of threads to read!

The way we have managed the rolling annoucements is that the first one is the welcome message (which will always be the first when you refresh the forum's home page).  The second one will always be the meets one (or the link to the pics of the previous meet).

So you won't have to wait too long for the scrolling announcements to get to the monthly meet details

Alternatively, you can just go directly to the Meets and Events section of the forum.  The meet details (when available) will be a stickied thread on the top of the page.

It's prob less intrusive (aka spam) the way we have it.  For those who are interested, just check the Meets section every now and then  Wink

Unfortunately, no. The environment didn't lend to taking photos anyway. Very dark any flashes would have distracted from the experience.
