one day you're going to THINK that you put it in properly, but nope.. BAM!

it's a great idea, but it's something you shouldn't get too comfortable with and slip on without looking (because this is bound to happen when people get comfortable with something) and making sure that it's actually held in place.

too bad i don't have another body to use haha.

So professional!

I would still be worried about hitting it against things.

well if your camera isn't worth much then it's probably not a big deal.. but not too many people would carry more than one body (or own more than one) normally except for pros.  Meaning this is probably something geared towards professional photographers.  I don't think you want your $10k equipment to slip and drop lol.

I think you missed the point, you don't need multiple cameras to use it
It is a better way to carry the camera on locations, the camera always stay close to your CG
it doesn't strain on your neck and it doesn't hit stuff when you lean forward

and it looks cool!

not for sale untill November
it reminds me of a IPSC speed holster

I guess I did miss the point because it was clearly stated on the video in big red letters across the entire film.  Also, it doesn't help that it constantly showed photographers who use multiple bodies to show at its easy access/switch between cameras in multiple scenes.  notice how i said geared towards professional photographers.  The average joe can definitely use it and benefit from certain aspects of it, but one of the points that the video was trying to make was that it's extremely helpful for individuals with multiple camera bodies.  For that quick grab and go option.

and all my point was, is that it's a very nice idea, but shit happens.

LOL yeah, the way the photographer was walking and changing cameras looks like he's in an IPSC competition. haha.... When you get this holster we can set up a photo "course of fire" and time how long it takes you to shoot pics. Wink

Any idea how much this holster will cost? Wonder if I can pre-order? Looks like a pretty sturdy design and definitely beats a neck strap (at least in my opinion). I don't think droppage is really a concern cuz anyone who values their equipment 'should' be mindful of how they grab/put away their camera anyways. If a person is going to just drop their $10K camera with this holster, they're probably going to smack up their camera while hanging from around their neck.

ya i agree with you jay.. even for my gear which is nowhere near the price range of pro stuff, i'm extra cautious anyways (can never be too cautious!).  Though they did say that you hang the camera in a comfortable angle, i'm not too sure if it's any good.. i'd be worried of smacking things on the side with it held in place like that.

lol camera IPSC actually works!
you can count the frames taken and how many hit the center lol

and my point exactly, if you are not gonna be careful, you could drop it regardless how you carry it

Droppage isn't a concern.

It'll be second nature like putting things in your pocket.

Depends. If a person considers their camera nothing more than a pack of gum then yeah I could see them treating it as such. Personally I don't put $1000+ items in my pocket. And if I did, I'd make sure it's in my pocket and not on the floor.
