Wish I could have come but it was a busy day. Dirty Mazdas for sure, but there should be some pics!

Huge thanks to everyone that donated. We have a very generous group of members here who spared their time and money during a busy holiday season.

Although the weather proved to be miserable and we spent much of the afternoon sitting in Jason's car with the heat on, the results of the donation drive are beyond any of our expectations.

We raised:
- $600 in cash and cash equivelants (WOW!)
- Baby clothes, shoes & diapers
- Many toys
- Spa & Bath items for mom
- Nintendo DS and games

There's more but I am forgetting a lot. We will be using some of the funds to buy a few more gifts for the family and then purchasing gift cards with the remainder.

Seriously, from past events I know that everyone is very supportive of charitable events, but this goes beyond any of our expectations for what we could raise. You've all done a wonderful thing by helping a family in need make their holiday season that much better.

On behalf of Tony, Jason, Derrick and I, thank you all so much for your support! Happy Holidays to you and your families.

  Kev

PS: If anyone is interested in joining to give the family their gifts, Jason will have details available on the delivery shortly.

I've sent my donation  through Paypal, though there was no place to mark up Xmas Hamper. I'm sure you will know what it's for! Smiley

Great work, just wondering how the drop off went. I'm sure the Mother was absolutely amazed at the generosity of the group!

I went with Jason to drop off the stuff with the mother. We also got to meet the 8 year old boy. He was very excited to open the presents but his mom told him he had to wait until Christmas haha. She seemed a little taken aback that we had brought so much stuff and perhaps was left a little speechless. We didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable or anything so we briefly chatted and then wished her the best. I certainly hope they enjoy the gifts and perhaps we will hear from Jason of any response from her after opening the gifts.

Hi All,

As Kev has said, I don't think she expected a "Christmas Hamper" to be what we brought them.
I happen to receive a call the next day and all she could say was the same thing as when we were there...basically Thank you and thank you again.....she didn't know what else to say.

I will try to see if there's any follow-up available etc.....

Thank you once again to this incredible community for the support, charity, and love for complete strangers.
