Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone had a definitive answer as to whether the steelies I have on now (with winter tires) on my 3 will fit a Mazda 6 GS which I'm contemplating of buying?  According to some research the bolt pattern is the same on both cars but the offsets are different.  Either +55 or 60mm on Mazda 6s and +52.5mm on 3s.

I'm just hoping it will fit so I don't have to get rid of my winter setup if I do end up trading in for the 6.   Roll Eyes

While on the topic (sort of), there should be no problems fitting Mazda 3 OEM wheels on Mazda 5's right?

Thanks in advance!

Mazda 3 & 5 share platforms, so everything under the skin is pretty much the same, the wheels will fit without a problem.  Your snow setup should fit on the 6 easily too.

16" and up wheels will definitely fit.  Not 100% sure about the 15" wheels (may have brake caliper clearance issues)

The wheels are coming off a 2005 sport GT, so they already clear the bigger brakes.  Should be just fine.

As long as they are 16s. They will fit the 06+ m6s. Why trade in for a 6 lol?

Thanks for the response guys.  Well the 6 is a nice sedan - I especially like the hatchback 4 cylinder version (seems like a good mix of practicality and sensibility).  The real reason I thought of trading in my 3 is because I'm thinking it'll do me good to be drive an automatic (mine is manual).  While I love driving manual, I have to sit in traffic a lot with my new job, the hours are long, so sometimes I just want to "take it easy".  I may sound like a wuss, but after a 15 hour shift on your fit, and then having to sit on HWY 1 for an hour, you really start wishing you just had an automatic.  :S
