Just make sure your car is clean and the cover is clean inside.  Dirt still can blow up inside the cover, then when you pull it off....  You can cover a clean car in a garage to keep dust from settling on it.  Overspray from what?

i work in a machine shop in north van at a shipyard when they paint the boats and that they spray it on. sometimes when the winds going a certain way itll head over the parking lot lol and if where lucky enough the paint will still be wet some how and stick on our cars but its very rare lol

ya the covers more to keep overspray off hopfully it wont happen again this summer ;/
