It's Driven To Perform

Its a auto/tuner show that was hosted at a few different cities. They had one in Vancouver two years ago and BCMazda3 was there with a few cars on display so I am wondering if we are going this year at all.

This is their facebook page
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?v=wall&gid=2227417069#!/group.php?gid=2227417069

Take a look at some of the photos from previous years Wink

It definitely is.......but it's serious.  I couldn't believe how serious some people take these competitions.
But I guess that's the difference between a hobby and serious work.

Its not comforting to see the DTP website is 404 (as of this writing).

i had fun but thought it wasnt like a community feel, where we all had a common interest and enjoyed tuning. it went from elitest to rubbish. tonnes of the same cars year after year with little to no change.

DTP was fun, but for the attendees it was kind of lame.  Albeit members here who attended were subsidized by the club, but we still had to fork out half the amount out.  People who attend have to pay somewhere along the lines of $50 to attend, and you may not even be given the time of day to be judged by those high and mighty judges simply because your car is missing dragon paintings on the side and chrome spinners.  If you're sponsored and your ride is there, that's great and all.  Otherwise, I'd say save your money and just pay the entrance fee and enjoy what's there, no point in wasting your own time and entering into this 'contest'.  Really, it's a place for companies to show off their sponsored rides.
