So been using 2.3.3 and my biggest complaint would be the notification icons are much smaller hopefully that could be fixed in another update.

Been using it as well since the manual update came out, couldn't wait for OTA.  The only issue I have is when wifi turns off (automatically or manually when I leave the house) sometimes 3G won't turn on and it stays on 2G.

The only solution is to go into settings>mobile networks and click the 2G and then click it again to force 3G to turn on.  It only happens sometimes but it sure is annoying when I later look at my phone and realize no 3G icon is there!

I'm seriously considering getting a new phone. I like my Nexus One but think I want to change to something newer. Either the Desire HD, nexus S or incredible S. Not sure which one to get if i do pull the trigger. each has it's pro's and cons.

Desire HD has biggest screen and better build quality and 14.4mb HSPA
Nexus S has better screen, pure android 2.3, front facing camera, but only 7mb HSPA
Incredible S has similar specs to the desire hd except with front facing camera and lesser build quality.

anyone have either of the 3 devices? Since i haven't played around with any of them.

Buddy of mind is going to pick up a Nexus S soon (it's getting shipped to him as we speak). Pretty excited to try it out.

If you've got hookups to the Telus Team Store, it's the cheapest there AND it's unlocked from factory!

Weird thing is that Koodo is supposed to be selling the Nexus S for $425 No Contract/NO Tab according to Best Buy's website. However Best Buy's site says no are available. I called a Koodo store and they said they aren't getting any for a couple weeks.

Anyway's I decided to pull the trigger and get it from the Team Store for $424. Hopefully I'll get it on Monday or Tuesday.

I was going to get either the desire hd or nexus s but went for an iPhone 4. I've always liked the hardware and the screen is the best out there. I even checked the Atrix which has a nice screen too but we both were getting tired of the Android unpolished nuttiness. We never tried iPhones so thought it was time. It was a hard decision to switch but we thought it was time since we were both Mac users and have three Appletvs.

Apple definitely makes nice products. I bought a macbook a year ago and my wife has the iphone 4. But the iphone doesn't  do it for me to get me to switch, maybe when the iphone 5 is released that might change.

if the attrix didn't have motoblur on it, I probably would have got that.

Are you keeping your nexus one or are you going to sell it?

I don't know what to do, I love my nexus one and accessories. I love getting free games LOL like all the angry birds. Cheesy I don't know if I should keep it for other tasks like right now I have it in the dock as a photo frame. Smiley

I thought about keeping it as a back up phone just in case. But I also have the Moto Charm too that could be a back up phone. Though I would need to create an adapter for the iphone micro sim card to use it I believe.

Not sure what to do, I got the car dock, desktop dock too for the nexus one and it's still a great phone for any Android fanboy. Cheesy

I recently bought a Desire HD.  Still in the return window but I'm leaning towards keeping it, with the only side option being a Nexus S, so let me know how that works out for you, dirtychoncho.

When I bought it was between the Samsung GalaxyS and Desire HD (Nexus S not available yet).  I simply can't get over how cheap the Galaxy S feels and apparently the Nexus S is no different.  The screen on the NExus/Galaxy is very nice... but the screen on the DHD is very big and definitely aids in usability.

Being a former Samsung staff/user, I know exactly what you mean regarding the general "cheapness" of how the phones feel. I think it's an issue with how they design their phones and honestly, I do no like it at all.

My buddy's phone came in two days ago...ordered from Team store on Friday, got it Tuesday (crazy!). He used an Omnia II prior to the NexusS, and I have to say, same feeling from the phone as well.

The Nexus S reviews from December 2010 stated the feel as well and that worried me too. I'm used to HTC weight and now the iPhone 4. It just feels like you have a premium product in your hand and I seem to be even more careful with my phone.

The Nexus S is getting returned. it wasn't much of an upgrade over my Nexus One.

Nexus S
Pros:
Nice feel to the curved screen and very responsive
Really fast boot up
Nice all black front display
Battery life seems better than N1
Front facing camera
Stock 2.3 gingerbread

Cons:
Plastically cheap feel
No SD slot
Colours on display seem faded and not as crisp as Nexus One
Wifi seems not to connect once phone awakes from sleep
Headphone jack is on bottom of phone
Only supports speeds to 7.2Mbps
No notification LED's

If you have a Nexus One/Desire, I would suggest waiting for some of the dual core devices to make there way onto the market and skip the Nexus S.

NFC technology seems to be the only thing going for it now, but still early to adopt. By then, newer phones will be out.

Thanks for the write up. My wife we're going to pick this up but glad we got iPhone4's instead.

Yeah NFC is pretty neat, but didn't serve me any purpose at this point in time.

I'm hoping Cyanogen9 comes to the Nexus One soon but sounds like a long shot from what I hear. I couldn't even get Tiny Towers to load and play on it Sad
