I think it'd be nice if we had a monthly/bi-weekly emails to all the members. Let everybody know of events, group buys, interesting threads were happening lately. Just something short and sweet. For example, this month we have a few GBs going on. Window visors, LED mirrors, side marker rings. BLAM is making shift boots for sale. Bowling meet coming up. It would be great to let members know about what is going on, especially those who don't whore the forums like I do.  Just an idea. |

You think so? We usually talk about it for a few weeks before we start an actual thread for it. Dunno. I think its a good idea. Mainly its just a coverup to send people emails reminding them to come back to the forums. |

some will see those as spam mails as not everyone are into GB and stuffs.
for official events, it would be a nice idea to get more people out via sending an email to all members.
or maybe eventually having featured ride might be a possibility.

Well in order to get the email, you would have had to sign up, so its not like it's random penis enlargement emails. If you signed up, then most likely you have some kind of interest in this car. And its only once a month or so, not like daily. |

We do mass-PM members monthly, reminding them about the meets.? But yeah, we shall do some kind of newsletter in the future.? We've been thinking of doing it for a long time, but haven't really got into it.?

I THINK ITS A FANTASTIC IDEA, THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES WHEN I DON'T HAVE TIME TO READ ALL THE POSTS, AND HAVE MISSED SOME GROUP BUYS AND NEWS ETC. IT WOULD BE VERY HELPFULL FOR ME AS WELL AS KAREN.

Email may end up in the Junk folder. At least with PM, if the notification gets in to the junk folder, they can still read it in the forum inbox. So, PM is better.

Or we could have monthly newsletter section on the board and post up a link to the main site of BCMazda3 so we can use HTML, to do a nicely laid out newsletter.
Anybody need help with any writing? Also, I can imagine a section where we do an interview with car of the month owner and just post that up with pictures as well.
Also, just wondering any ideas I can help out. As a programmer and a dba.....hmmm..
