Which one should I pick?

S90 has F2.0 great for low light situation
SX210 has 14X optical zoom, HiDef video, fisheye feature

they are almost the same price.

also waiting for the Samsung TL500 to come out (F1.Cool...but that might be very expensive.

Is this your only camera?

S90 is in a totally different class than SX210IS (S90 is considered higher).

S90 will give you better image quality, whereas SX210IS will get you more features for the buck you're spending.

I highly recommend that you try out the cameras (fully utilizing FS/BB's return policy Wink) and see which one you like better.  Personally speaking, I would pick the S90 simply because it has better image quality.

i would suggest perhaps waiting for Sony's EVIL camera (you can change lenses on these), and besides the lens sticking out it's very small.

or the canon g11 lol.

I am in hk so return/refund is not an option.

This will be my only camera and I don't want change len or non-pocketable camera.

I will look into Panny GF1.....

GF1 is more expensive but very good image quality
20mm f1.7 is a fixed lens, but super fast
HD video is great too

You'll probably find that the GF1 might not fit your requirements as it is a camera that has an interchangeable lens system.

In that case, go for the S90.  Most of the time you'll be indoors doing photos of friends in a dimly lit restaurant.  It also has manual controls too so no need to worry about not being able to control shutter/aperture/etc.

I'd go with the S90. Better picture quality and faster lens for low light. Zoom isn't that big of a deal for a PnS.

Zoom is useful when travel (watch shows or concerts) but then it will be low light.......decision decision........

I'm not sure if you bought a camera yet, but consider the Ricoh GXR..  it is effin PIMP.
It's an EVIL camera with interchangeable lenses, dslr sensors, but the catch is that the lenses are built into a box that includes the sensor (prevents dust when changing lenses)

Here is one example of lens

looks like there are 3 lenses right now, a 50mm f2.5 Macro, a 24-72 f2.5-4.4, and a 28-300mm f3.5-5.6.  What's really interesting about this system is, megapixel count is dependant on the lens you buy as the sensor can vary.  So forexample the 24-72 is a 10 megapixels, the 50mm f2.5 macro is 12.3 mp.

This might be out of your budget though, but i'm not sure what you set.  It doesn't look too big, and pending on your lense you have (the 24-72 which is good and fast at 24mm) looks to be pretty compact too.  This way you don't have to worry about zoom or speed when travelling Tongue

oh and the reason why i suggest this despite you saying that you don't want interchangeable lenses is because this camera should be able to fit into your pocket pretty easily even with a semi protruding lens (and it doesn't look like they protrude much except for the 50mm macro prime).  Also, lenses like the 24-72 and 28-300 have vibration reduction built in.  size specs are 113.9 mm x 70.2 mm x 28.9 mm

What about Olympus EPL-1?
Similar to the GF1.
My dad has one and it's pretty easy to use.

i'm not sure about the EPL-1 but I played with my friends EP-1, and it's a very nice camera.  The only thing I hate is the focus points, otherwise it's pretty good.
Only thing is don wants compact, it's why i recommended the Ricoh as a alternative since it appears to be rather small since the lenses don't seem to stick out a lot.  My friend had a EP-1 with the Lumix 17mm f1.7 pancake lens, which although is small (for me), it is still around 3~3.5" thick which i'm sure don wouldn't like lol.

If don were willing to give up a bit of portability, there would be so many cameras for him to choose from within the micro 4/3rd's lineup.

It's actually the 20mm f1.7 lens...and yeah, although "pancake", it's still a tad bigger than the Olympus m.zuiko 17mm f2.8 and making it stick out a bit from the camera.  I actually use the 17mm f2.8 as my walk-around lens now.
