Didn't wait in line, instead called Rogers yesterday at 6:30am, hung over and ordered myself a Black 16g Iphone 4 ($160). Should be arriving on Tuesday and Wednesday latest.  Also, upgraded my Retention plan to a even better Retention plan after telling them I wanted to void my contract with them.  Didn't mention anything regards to the Free Bumper. Can you specify the color or design? Cheers |

^^^ the guy has full bars when he's doing the death grip on the antenna. I thought the signal only dropped if you had 2 or less to begin with? Not when it is already at full strength.

This is turning into a hardware issue it appears. My brother's friend got one and the death grip did nothing to his phone. And supposedly Apple has removed all the videos of their testing on other cell phones today. This is all a bad PR move on Apple.

I can make it drop 1 or 2 bars, but it never loses reception. Lowest I got it to go is 3 bars, still works fine.

tried the jailbreakme.com website just now on a buddy's newer bootrom 3gs. Easiest jailbreak i've ever done, then installed ultrasn0w and unlocked his phone too. those guys make it so easy to jailbreka and unlock these days lol

I'd rather buy an unlocked iPhone 4 from the Apple Store if I wanted an unlocked iPhone that badly, but kudos.
I thought FaceTime worked better with the JB since calls can be made over 3G.

i tried it on my 3gs earlier today. I had to update it from 3.1.2 (it was jailbroken/unlocked from before so i refused to update until a solid method was out) before i could update it. Everything went smooth, my 3gs on newer bootrom is now jailbroken/unlocked on 4.0.1

My brother did it to his 3g and he's been fine. Didn't update to iOS4 though, I hear it's not worth it for 3g models.
