not really. Ford may own 40% of Mazda, but they let Mazda do their own thing as far as designs and that are concerened. Mazda does on the other hand share parts with the European Ford (US Ford = shit) The 2.3L made by Mazda is one of the top 5 engines in the world (which is why I'm kinda curious why the dropped it out of the new Mazda 3...) |

Oh, Ford sold 20% in Nov 2008...I missed that one and the 2.5l is actually a redesigned 2.3L. It has a longer stroke and bigger bore and lower compression ration (9.7:1 in the 2.5l, 10:1 in the 2.3L) And wtf? the auto gets better gas mileage apparently... |

It's not Ford any longer the Chinese bought Volvo from them.
"Ford decided to sell its interest in Volvo Cars; in 2010, Ford Motor Company signed a deal to sell the brand to the parent of Chinese motor manufacturer Geely Automobile for $1.8 billion, in a deal expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2010."

I hope they retained some Swedish designers... Maybe they did since Ford didn't butcher Volvo like GM butchered Saab. Ah Spyker will make Saab good again.
If the Mazda 5 wasn't available, we would've got a Volvo (V70 or 850 manual transmission, rare gems they are!)

Front end reminds me of Buick/Chrysler. Bleh. I don't think they can even make a Volvo look interesting to me.
Edit: And I never understood why Volvo used the sign of Mars...do they forbid women to buy their vehicles or something?
