Quite a few of us drive lowered cars year round, snow or not. I've gone from Vancouver/Richmond to Langley or Burnaby many times in the snow.

I have never seen a slow plow in my subdivision. That said, as soon as I get out I'm fine

So i guess it all depends on where you live.
I don't mean an aggressive lowering, maybe 1".
And even if that causes problems, just don't drive for 7 days a year, and take transit. Its not that big of a drawback imho. But then again, with transit, depends where you live like you said.
