Has anyone seen one of these in real life? OMG! A 7 liter small block Z06 engine in a Mazda.

Never seen a LS7, the closest I've been was following a silver FD in Oregon, on the way to the Woodburn outlet. The FD had a little V8 badge on the rear of the car. It took off and you could hear the V8 growl. Obviously couldn't tell which V8 was in there.

Some have the old small block in them (FI Camaro/Firebird) but now they're putting in this 427. Apparently there was one racing here (Edmonton) from B.C. which was kicking ass. Badged RX7 7 litre.

Haven't seen an LS7, but I've seen tons of El Es Juan (LS1) FD's.

Lots of power.. but to me it changes the whole weight dynamics of the car.

Apparently, not that much. The weight bias balance doesn't change that radically. The weight accelerates dynamically! lol It, the LS7, has an aluminum block and heads and you have to have a heavier differential to handle the higher torque.

RX7 isn't the same without a rotary
It's better. 3 times the power at the same fuel economy. Where it begins to lack in handling from the V8 it makes up for in corner exit/ straight line performance. There is NO replacement for displacement. The newer LS block Chevrolet engines are LIGHT. Theyre all aluminum and produce lots of power. Dont be fooled, rotaries are heavy, but small. The benefit of a rotary is that it can be placed almost anywhere in the chassis due to its size or lack there of. I've seen an LS3 in a FC RX7. That would move too...
