Forgot to post this when I signed up last week but just in case anyone else is interested

Make your way down to the Volkswagen Freedriving Course at Coquitlam Shopping Centre at the corner of Barnet Highway and Johnson Street on August 19, 20 & 21 for some real driving on our closed-circuit course. Pick your vehicle in the section below and get ready to let loose!

Hmm, got that email too but both of my brother's bought new Vdubs, so I can just drive theirs if I feel like it. After driving a Jetta for 11 years, I prefer my 3. Smiley

I hope they're manuals, I drove a VW Jetta 2.5 with 6AT the other day and hated it... the transmission was unbearably laggy, luckily the manual mode worked well.

They usually have only automatics at these events but you never know.

Hmmm... maybe I'll drive their GTI so I at least get to try out that DSG. I want a new coffee mug too lol.

BTW I heard that a DSG fluid change costs about $400!!! Can anybody confirm??

Thats goddamn retarded:

Participation is limited to those who are 21 years of age or older.

You must have a valid and unrestricted driver’s license for driving an automobile issued by a province of Canada, which you will be required to present at the test drive.

Damn Sad I wanted to try a DSG

I don't see why not, you just need a class 5 drivers licence and be 21 or older...oh and also not smoke what Bob Marley smoked.

FFS Im already legal age, what difference does it make if you're 2 years younger..if I screw something up, I get treated under adult law in either case (whether im 19 or 21..)..but then again I still have an N so I still can't do it... *kicks N sign across the room*

i'm still gonna go and try and get in. IIRC the bmw driving event had similar regulations but they allowed me to participate. hoping for the same tomorrow, otherwise no big deal
