Does anyone own this lens? I was thinking of picking it up for my D40. Planning on shooting in Gastown on Saturday with a friend. I have a 50 and a 55-200 but I hear the 35mm is great for street shooting and in close up shots where you don't have a lot of room.

I have this lens and am very pleased with the speed and image quality.  I picked it up down at the Bellingham BestBuy as it's only $199 compared to $299 here at BestBuy.

i have this lens as well.  Love it, use it more than the 50mm f1.8 that I also own.  I do, however, prefer to shoot wider.  If only they had a 35mm f1.4G, I would love to have that.
One thing about nikon, if you buy from the states you don't get the 5 year canadian warranty.  something to think about.  I bought it from aden camera (it's cheaper than broadway), but that was before the dreaded HST, so i saved like 50 as opposed to buying it here.
