Looks the story has been updated. Dealers have a 6 month supply and haven't ordered any more new models. But will order from Japan if a customer wants one.

I want a Ruckus too... have been eyeing them for a while now... But my commute to anywhere I have to go is too far and involves a lot of highway...  I don't see when I'd get to use it for much. If I move back into the city, I'd definately pick one up.

They're selling new 2010 ones for $1995 at the local bike store here.

The 2010 Ruckus should be on sale now going for around $2000. The 2011 should be coming soon and I believe it will be the same except the color, which might be orange for the new ones.

It's just a toy for me to wrench on... much cheaper to mod than the car. Grin

But it is legal to ride on the hwy since the minimum speed is 60km/h as noted on the signs before you enter the hwy. Of course, it would be a crazy ride with cars going 100km/h zipping by you. I would just take the long way and avoid the hwy's.

Yeah, like I said, it is just for fun.

I have taken it over the Alex Fraser and through the Massey Tunnel. Not something I would do very often...

Must be cool going through the tunnel when it's empty on a weekend morning.

The tunnel is not as bad as a bridge. You are on the downhill first so you can carry momentum up the other side. I was able to do around 80 through it anyway. Not sure at the exact speed since the speedo doesn't go that high!

I've crossed the Second Narrows on my old scooter, even with the lower 70km/h speed limit I was still holding up traffic in the slow lane crawling up at 50km/h.

I also remember crawling up Clarke (from Port Moody to Coquitlam) at I dunno barely doing 35km/h... and I managed to pass a propane powered pickup truck that must've only managed to do only 25 lol.

The most fun I had is an 18% grade in White Rock, forget what road but I had so much fun making a ruckus going up it at 20km/h with my loud as **** two stroke motor causing people to look at me that I went down the hill then did it again. lol.

Oh I miss my scoot. Sad I want another one.

Ya the hills out here are crazy even in a car. You feel like the car is going to flip backwards!

1900-2000 now for the 2010's hey?  That's not bad...   Surrounded by highway/bridges though... maybe If I had more friends to ride with out here, or a better way into Van...  I'd hate to do highway on that thing. Would feel silly going that slow, and then get hit by a lifted diesel pickup or something.
