Guys I wanted to welcome the BC Mazda 3 club to our Show n Shine we are holding for Canuck Place.  All proceeds benefit the Canuck House and the kids.  This car show is open to all makes and models.  We have prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, The Peoples Choice, and THE BIGGEST CREW!  This is happening September 19 2010 from 10-2.  We will be having live entertainment ( I hear Elvis is going to be there ) Raffles and prizes.

A good friend of my works at the Wings and told you me you guys have regular meets there!  That is awesome!  I am sure your club has a lot of stock and modified cars.  I would love to see you guys make it out to our Show n Shine and help out with a good cause as well.

So far we have around 50 Vehicles so registering is a MUST.  Please do so at www.SokhaHonda.com and that way we can keep your cars together in your respectful clubs.   Please, if you can, bring something Non-Perishable for the food bank and the less fortunate.

Right now the club with the Biggest Registration are the guys at www.S2ki.com.  They are 20 cars deep! I would like to chalenge your club to get more vehicles out to beat them for attendance.  So far, Vancouver Civics is right behind them!

Thank you guys for your time and I hope to see you at the show!  Ill be keeping an eye on the registrations to see if you guys end up bringing the most registered cars!

You know your doing nothing on a Sunday.  Come out, help the kids, meet other car enthusiast, summers ending, shine that beast up and bring it down!
There will be all sorts of prizes our sponsors are chipping in! Plus gas is cheaper here by 15 cents, so FILL UP when you are here!

Short notice?  Its the following week! Far away?  Gas is 15 cents cheaper out here Smiley Cmon guys, no excuses!  I have about 20 S2000s coming and 5 of them are from Vancouver Island, thats far.

End of the day, if you guys can make it, wonderful, if not I appreciate the opportunity to inform your club of the event.  We would love to have such a sweet car like the Mazda 3s out there.  We had 2 for Sale, the lot guys loved driving them to "get gas" hahha.

I think it would be inappropriate to have 50 Mazda's at a Honda meet. Grin Grin Grin

actually derrick, I would love to have 50 mazdas at the meet. Remember this isnt about Mazdas or Hondas, its about raising funds for sick children and their families who are financially suffering let alone possibly losing their child to disease or cancer.  I hate to make it serious but thats what it boils down to.

So please, the families, the children, and the people at Canuck place would love it if you brought 50 Mazdas to our "Honda Meet" which actually is open to all cars.  We have a few 1955 Belairs coming and alot of classic cars.

Sorry that I had to make it sound soo serious. Right now we don't have any one from BCmazda3s coming, even if you guys bring half of the 50, that would help!!!

this is the current registered cars.  As you can see they aren't just Hondas.

I am still a little confused to why you guys are under the impression its a "HONDA" only Show.  I would like to reiterate that its "OPEN TO ALL CARS".

There will be no slapping in any faces if you guys showed up.  All registered cars actually get entered in a raffle automatically to have a chance to win a TRIP FOR 2 TO VEGAS!  So the benefits are there, help kids, win Vegas trip!

I actually have a challenge for the Mazda3 crew.  Bring the 50 car crew you guys speak of and ill have a special prize for you to raffle off between your club!  It might be another trip for Vegas or something along those lines.  What do you say??  Smiley This all is for the kids.

So you guys are talking the talk, now lets see if you guys can walk it! Tongue  So far you guys are at ZERO.  Good luck  Evil

And the gauntlet is laid down!  Gas is cheaper out there I found on my foray to the Coast at Easter.
Honda Way is just the sponsor.

Sounds like my kind of meet. 5 minutes or so from my place. Plus, if anybody gets too bored, there is a Timmy's at the automall.

It's great that this meet is for a good cause, but coming on here and brushing aside some of the issues and reasons that BCMazda3 may not be able to make it is not a very good way to promote your event.  In addition to lay down a "challenge" is even more ridiculous if you think that sort of message will attract members to attend.  Furthermore, this is the internet and your message comes across as snarky, even if you meant to be humorous.

We have already "proven" our ability to come out in numbers and our camaraderie as a club with the 5 consecutive years as the club who had won that award at the Revscene meet.

We are a club with members of all walks of life and take organizing such a big meet seriously and responsibly.  The logistics of bringing that many cars take time and truthfully it is short notice.

+1 ^ at least a month's notice rather than 12 days before the event would have been more appropriate for members to clear or rearrange their work, family and social calendars to attend such an event.  Even some members from Alberta, such as myself, would consider attending with a bit more notice.  It's usually a nice time of year for a drive and the RV summer holiday crowd has thinned on the highways.  Something to consider if you sponsor the event next year.  Others members from the Okanagan may want to attend as well.

Great intention, not so great promotor.

1. Poster is flooded with the word "Honda". Yes, Honda way is the sponsor, but The Honda Way presents the first annual Honda Way Show 'n Shine with a big Honda sitting in the middle. No where did it mention (other then what you posted in the post) said all makes and models welcome. So is this the last minute save?

2. Challenging BC Mazda 3 to prove we can be the biggest crew? Been there and done it....for a few consecutive years too. You think this Show 'n Shine is bigger than a Revscene meet?

3. We talk the talk and walk the walk all the time. We have been doing annual food drive, 50/50 draw proceeds goes to food bank.....

Seriously if you (and assuming you work at Honda way) sale car like this, I will never come into your dealership. Pushy saleman is the last one I trust.
